Is Yoga experience required/recommended?
No experience is needed.
Who does this class serve?
This class is for women with a history of trauma. At this time, we do not offer a group for men. However, if men are interested in a trauma yoga therapy group, please contact us directly.
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers may be helpful, as the temperature can sometimes feel cool or warm to different people.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers may be helpful, as the temperature can sometimes feel cool or warm to different people. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it. If not, we have one for you. All other materials will be provided. Please bring water.
Do I have to talk?
No one is required to talk about anything they do not want to. We do request that members share their names and pledge confidentiality to the group; we encourage a few words about what you would like to get from the group experience. As individuals attend more sessions and begin to feel more comfortable, we may begin to encourage more participation, as that is what creates connection and healing.
What are the pre-requisites for attending this group?
Please complete the online intake packet and schedule an intake appointment. This packet is to be hand-delivered at the appointment. Please do not email the completed form due to HIPAA and for your privacy.
